The boys are always presenting me with gifts of nature – matted feathers, empty (or is it?) snailshell, a wiggly worm – “Look, mummy, it’s head’s ‘come’ off!” “Don’t worry, it’ll grow a new one..!” But this is the first time I’ve been faced with grown frogs. I’m not that squeamish, but I was really hoping that the next time I saw a frog, it would be my darling Freddo on Easter Day.
